Barnett Slips Back Into Pack

Published in:

It's bunching up at the top of the leaderboard during the third round of the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship at Moortown with a clutch of players tied at three under par.

Andrew Barnett failed to capitalise on his eagle at the first yesterday by dropping back into the pack on the resumption of the third round today with bogeys on the second and fifth holes.

The North Wales Driving Range pro sits level with Graeme Bell (Eaglescliffe), Sean Whiffin (Herts G&CC) and Paul Simpson (West Berkshire) at three under par for the tournament.

Carluke pro Craig Ronald has picked up where he left off yesterday and was four under par after 13 holes, courtesy of an eagle on the first and birdies on seven, 10 and 12. He sits at two under for the tournament alongside Jeremy Robinson (Sports Masters International).

Moor Hall's Cameron Clark, who began the third round just one off the lead, looks to have played himself out of contention following successive double bogeys on the second and third holes and a bogey on the fourth.

There was better news for his room-mate William Barnes (RBE Golf) who was just one over for his round through five holes.
